Vacations Update

Hello!!
Been busy planning our vacations and travelling. We went to France (Alsace) And Germany (Stuttgard). Was a great trip, we took SO many pictures, but here you have the ones I like the most.

On the crafting news, haven't been doing anything haha. But I won a contest at Tolé Tolé!! Yay me!!! And we decided to do a mini swap as well, so will give me the inspiration needed to create something.

Knitted a scarf for a friend's daughter... need to make one for her son as well. Wanted to make something like hat and gloves but no idea about the size (they live far away and I don't have "access to kids" lol my friends in town have no kids...) so anyway.. scarf it is.
And been trying some of facebook's games... the bakery shop is my favorite, so cute!
We are having a friend visiting us so not sure when will I blog again :)

So.. I'm back! Had a rough couple of years, haven't crafted at all. My creativity is coming back (slowly but coming back teehee).
So far been checking my old links and patterns, trying to figure out what to do.
I have a few WiPs that probably will unravel. (3/4 sock, lace scarf and 1/3 poncho). And lots of granny squares that am planning to join on a small blanket.

Have a new flickr as I couldn't access my old one (grr!) and will be working on my blog soon (design and all that jazz).

Pattern modifications from the original Calorimetry from Knitty:
Casted on 80 sts and worked 12 short rows instead of 15.

Knitting this scarf for my friend Jess.

Made a granny square on crochet, picked up stitches from the top (18).
Started on the wrong side:
row 1: slip 1 st, k5, p6, k6 (this is the wrong side)
row 2: slip 1 st, k3, p2, k6, p2, k4 (this is the right side).
row 3: =row 1
row 4: =row 2
row 5: =row 1
row 6: slip 1 st, k3, p2, k1, C4B, k1, p2, k4.

Repeat for as long as you want the scarf to be, sew another granny square. :)

Note:
C4B: means to put the first 2 stitches on the cable needle, let it drop in the back of the work, knit the next 2 stitches on the knitting needle and finally, knit the 2 you have on the cable needle.

Note on tutorial:
If you don't know how to knit on the round, you can do the same thing on two needles. Use stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl the other, knit the 3rd...). When you have all the rows done, cast off and sew the sides togheter.
